Senior Role Transition and Practicum: January-February 2016
120+ hours clinical practicum in the pediatric ICU at the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters working with an RN preceptor providing holistic nursing care to children with critical illnesses. Performed nursing assessments, medication administration, IV therapy and all other aspects of nursing care. Assisted with documentation of patient care according to hospital policy and particpated as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
Global Health Study Abroad: March 2014
Eight days immersed in the culture of Guatemala, provided hands on assessments, care and education to all ages in a clinic. Taught hand hygiene and dental hygiene to young children, delivered fresh fruits and vegetables to impoverished local families and enhanced teamwork and organizational skills.
Sentara Obici Hospital: June-July 2011
45 hours volunteering in the Radiology/Mammography unit, assisted with patient registration and escorted patients to their examination room.

Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters PRN/August 2015-present Nursing Care Partner: Assists nurses with daily tasks working in the NICU at CHKD. Feed, change infants, and perform vital signs when prompted and chart accordingly. Assist with incubator changes, linen distribution, and assist secretary with tasks.
Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters Full time/May 2015-July 2015 Nursing Student Extern: Performed assessments, administered medications, assisted with lab drawings, maintained IV therapy, assisted with documentation of assessment while under the supervision of a RN preceptor in the neonatal intensive care unit.
Musselmani Internal Medicine Part time/August 2014-May 2015 Receptionist: Assisted patients with check in, answered patient phone calls and questions, assisted with vital signs, obtained medication prior authorization for patients, and provided a friendly environment.
